Overview
Tel Aviv is a unique city that is difficult to describe in just a few words, especially because it is where we have lived for 3 years, and even then we didn’t become acquainted with half of it. This is not because of the size of the city, but because it is ever-changing and has so many hidden corners and gems, and overall is considered a truly multicultural space.

The quality of life for locals and attractions for travelers are above most destinations. They have the best food in the world (I assure you I’m not biased), beautiful and accessible beaches, parties 24/7 and crazy nights out, warm, open-minded people, and a few other unique elements that make it the city it is. A city where most youngsters in Israel are enthusiastic about being a part of and building a life. We couldn’t agree more!

The obvious downsides are that it is dense, very expensive, and it can take a while to acclimate and find your niche when new to the city. We don’t know what it is like to be a true tourist here, but most visitors we have spoken to really enjoyed the city, so we can confidently confirm that Tel Aviv is a fantastic destination for both locals and tourists alike.
Co-Works
One of Tel-Aviv’s known properties is that it’s a tech hub, a start-up nation, an innovation center; you name it! With this comes an increasing demand for working spaces, which inevitably keeps popping up in all parts of the city. We will cover the ones we personally experienced; however, they represent just the tip of the iceberg.

WeWork Shoken

If you live in the southern part of the city, this WeWork branch is probably a good bet when it comes to you-know-what-you-get office spaces. WeWork is a known (and notorious) global chain that offers modern office spaces and shared space with all the facilities you need. You will work side by side with young and ambitious entrepreneurs or startup companies and will enjoy free coffee and beer (yup!), a printer, comfortable seating, and even a relaxing balcony for taking breaks. But if you are looking for more of a community vibe, this is not the place.

WeWork Azrieli Town

As covered in the Shoken WeWork, most of what was detailed apply here as well, except that the location is truly central, minutes away from hundreds of food options and public transportation which makes it a good choice if you are located centrally or coming from out of town. Our few visits in both WeWork spaces were due to a free month trial that they led in 2021, if promotions like that resume, it is definitely worth checking out.

Collabo

Collabo is not a co-work space per se, but more of a cultural and artistic hub. We signed up for their pilot co-working service which is hard to say whether or not it still exists, but if it does and you are willing to sacrifice the fanciness of a modern office in favor of a cool space packed with interesting people, you might be interested in checking it out. It is an evolving community with a great mindset and atmosphere.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Nehama Vahetzi

Food is varied with Israeli dishes, vegan options, and meat portions. Cool atmosphere and prime location, a minute from the Habima Theater. Due to the relatively large space, it welcomes people to sit and work while having a dedicated quiet space for those who need to concentrate.

Little Prince Bookshop

You first might think you've entered a library or book shop from the 60s or so. Yet this place is nothing but a cozy coffee shop with endless books covering its walls, giving it a calm and quiet atmosphere that's great for working or even sitting with a great book from their selection of both Hebrew and English options.

Michelangelo Cafe

Located on a quiet street in Jaffa, the southern part of Tel-Aviv, this 100% vegan place is very nice especially if you are touring or living in Jaffa. The food is awesome and the staff is very friendly.

Cafelix - Shlomo Hamelech

With already 4 bustling stores around town, Cafelix became an empire, although it maintains the "neighborhood" vibe and welcomes people to work from the cute balcony or inside. There is not a lot of room but if you are a frequent visitor you can even get a "neighbor cup" with your name printed on it, so cool!

It is a Middle Eastern dish known for being a typical Israeli dish, made from chickpeas that are mashed and formed into a ball, fried, and served in pita bread or any other bread. You will find endless different stalls and falafel shops in Tel-Aviv, all of which serve great Falafel, the best is purely a matter of personal preference.
Restaurants and Bars

Bellboy

A shady space, shots poured out of an old baby wagon, hosts dressed in 20s style, this is the raw fabric that this popular cocktail bar is built upon, a truly unique experience. The cocktails themselves are a source of inspiration and the way they are served is quite comical and unique, (a bathtub with a ducky, anyone?) It is best to reserve a table and save a few bucks ahead, but we are sure you won't forget this place easily.

Teder.fm

It is not only a name of a place, it is a veteran production and music house that has moved locations quite often, but since it is located in Romano house, the old-looking patio in the middle of an apartment complex; it looks like it is there to stay. It's full of surprises with cool events, fine pizza, and many interesting people to meet. Even if you don't "get" the vibe initially, it can be a great casual and lowkey night out with friends.

Kuli Alma

Kuli Alma brought a new experience to the scene of same-old pubs, dance bars, or clubs. It's a multi-purpose venue, with the diversity you would expect from a Viennese museum, but with a special touch and vibe you would expect from an underground Berliner club. Different DJs, different sitting options, and even different kinds of people. A warm and inviting atmosphere that we highly recommend.

Dizzy Frishdon

A cozy and long-standing veteran bar that will probably outlast most, if not all of the bars around it. It is packed and lively most of the time, and Sundays are bottomless wine evenings, making the start of the week feel like a weekend night.

Drama Bar

What used to be a parking lot, today is a versatile bar that you can spend an entire night at without feeling too confined to one space. Have a drink at the bar inside, boogie on the dance floor, and chill and breathe in some air in the garden. A well-respected venue part of the local scene.

Sputnik bar

You will find an easy-going garden to chill and chat at, a shady neon-lit interior with constantly changing DJs and a place to dance and mingle with all the who and who's of the local scene. Be warned that some evenings it looks like a sardine box full of people, so make sure you have a plan B in case you become overwhelmed by the busy atmosphere.
