If you’re looking for a short but jam-packed trip to Singapore, a 48 hour itinerary is the perfect way to experience all the city has to offer. As a couple, we were able to see and do so much in just two days.

5 places you must see in Singapore

1. Art Science Museum

First on our list was the ArtScience Museum. Located within the iconic Marina Bay Sands Singapore, this museum is home to a variety of interactive exhibitions and installations that are sure to delight and educate. From the mesmerizing Kinetic Rain sculpture to the Future World exhibit, there was something for both of us to enjoy.

2. Gardens by the Bay

Next, we made sure to check out the stunning Gardens by the Bay. This massive, 101-hectare garden is home to over a million plants, including the iconic Supertrees – towering vertical gardens that are illuminated at night. We were both amazed by the Cloud Forest, a 35-meter tall mountain housing the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, and the Flower Dome, a massive greenhouse filled with a rotating selection of blooms from around the world.

3. Maxwell Food Centre

For a taste of local food, we headed to the Maxwell Food Centre. This open-air hawker centre is home to a wide variety of stalls selling everything from spicy Singaporean noodles to savory Indian roti. We tried some of the local favorites like chicken rice and laksa and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors.

4. Chinatown Complex

No trip to Singapore would be complete without a visit to Chinatown. The Chinatown Complex is home to hundreds of stalls selling everything from knockoff designer bags to traditional Chinese herbs. We enjoyed trying some of the street food, like char kway teow (stir-fried noodles) and oyster omelette.

5. Haji Lane

Finally, we spent some time wandering the narrow streets of Haji Lane. This bohemian neighborhood is home to a variety of independent boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. It was the perfect place for us to find unique souvenirs or just relax with a cup of coffee.
