Punta Cana

A Second Name of the Caribbean

Overview
A city of resorts and eternal sun. This popular vacation town, populated by honeymoon makers and families, is famous for it’s all inclusive resorts and luxury hotels. Just pay the very affordable daily price and enjoy food and drinks until you can’t anymore.

The city is also a home to the famous Coco Bongo club (which was closed during our stay) which signifies the lean of the city towards being also a party hub, But not only. The beach is probably the main attraction although note that during certain times of the year a lot of sea-weed fill the shore line and makes it less fun to swim in.
Co-Works
The internet in the apartments is pretty stable, but working around people is always nicer. We found a coworking space to tell you all about it. There weren’t many more other than that.
  Cogarden
Cogarden

Cogarden

Cogarden is a great place to work from. The tables and chairs are a delight and overall it is populated also with office workers that come there every day, which brings in an even more productive atmosphere. Below the place there is a very cute coffee shop with great coffee and pastries.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Hard rock cafe

Although I never understood the hype around Hard Rock Cafes all over the world, the one in PC is just very nicely located and so massive that you can easily find a cool spot, either inside or outside and have some good old American lunch or breakfast. Not our typical Nomad Friendly café, but it works.

Mangú – The national breakfast, or dinner, or lunch. It looks like mashed potatoes but is actually made of plantains, usually topped with red onions and garlic.
Restaurants and Bars

Montaña Redonda

There is a restaurant on the top of this mountain, but in fact this recommendation is not only for it. The drive to the mountain itself is nice and once arriving you will be awed by the 360 view of the area and the many picture opportunities with the props and swings that are scattered around.

Onno’s Punta Cana / Bavaro

Just off the beach in a perfect location and surroundings. The vibe is ambient and chilled although at night it can get hectic with some local DJs spinning. Another thing it is known for is the Pizza. Yummi.

Pizza Bavaro

Fortunately, it was the pizza under our condo, which made us completely love it. The price is average and delivery is available. And the taste - great!

Mixology Bar Lab

Great food, good location, unique drinks and cocktails, entertainment by live music or professional dancers, fast and friendly service. They just do everything right.

Flamingo Bar

Our favorite place for a beach drink and chilling on the comfortable lounge chairs. After getting to know the staff you feel almost local and always welcome. Try one of their signature cocktails or just an ice cold beer.
