Porto

"Go there and drink some wine", they say.

Overview
The second-largest city in Portugal, and for some, a more calm and picturesque getaway from its sister city Lisbon. The river and hills that the city sits on create a truly beautiful and romantic view, especially at night. We surely loved it!

Porto region is also famous for its fine taste in wine, especially the Port Wine which is one of the primary exports in Portugal. Around Porto you will also find great sandy beaches to wash yesterday’s wine tour hangover, the only downside is that the water is much cooler than your average beach experience.

Co-Works
As mentioned, some people prefer Porto to Lisbon, hence many remote workers are settling in Porto, making it another amazing hub for digital nomads or remote workers. Porto offers many co-work spaces to explore and hundreds of co-workers to meet and socialize with.

Porto I/o Downtown

It is a known hub for all digital and tech workers that love the abundance of social events and meetups, making it not only an office but a community of like-minded people. The location is also great, a 19th-century building that creates an interesting old-new atmosphere that is fun to work with.

Land Porto Coworking

A trendy modern experience located perfectly with easy metro access close to Aliados station. You will be awed right away by the many plants and stylish desks. And, if you have a pet, there is a pet-friendly space that has you covered!

Temporada

To inspire creativity, this co-work space is richly decorated with artwork and color. They offer a variety of options from hot desks to team spaces, which make them flexible according to your needs. Their community is also known to be very strong and lively if you are interested in creating new connections.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Mesa 325

Big tables and good coffee, you don't need much more than that. It is not a large space, but you will won't often be the only patron using their laptop or studying something.

Combi Coffee

It all started as a coffee truck (have you seen the logo?) that turned into a trendy and popular coffee shop that roasts its own great coffee. The Wi-Fi and outlet availability are also great, which invites many workers to come and spend a few hours there getting some work done.

Fabrica Coffee Roasters

It is a chain that is famous for being laptop friendly and attracting digital nomads from all over. As the name suggests they are a roastery as well which makes their coffee at a premium level and the food is also affordable and tasty. With great outdoor space and a spacious interior with outlets placed throughout, it makes it a perfect place to work from.

C’alma Coffee

Set in an old building, this café is worth visiting if only to marvel at the artwork and genius design. Either secure a spot on the bar chairs or a round table and enjoy the calming music and occasional chit-chat. For all of you coffee lovers, it will keep your taste buds intrigued by the amazing variety of blends and filtering methods to choose from. Oh, and yes, wifi and outlets are not a problem!

Soup? Yes, soup! This traditional Portuguese soup probably holds cozy home memories for many locals. The basic ingredients are collard greens, potatoes, olive oil, black pepper, and salt, but the magic lies with the special touch of the chef.
Restaurants and Bars

The Royal Cocktail Club

They have achieved awards for their drinks for a reason, the sophistication and performance of just making something to drink doesn't get much better than theirs. In short, visit when you fancy a quality night out or you want to impress your date.

Capela Incomum

A place one of its kind. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary chapel, but going inside you will see many locals and travelers enjoying a glass of wine together with a cheese plate or another fancy snack. Sometimes they host live music performances that can really level up the experience.

Maus Hábitos

So far we have recommended places for cocktails, or fine wine, but if you fancy just a beer and a slice of pizza while viewing the great city of Porto from above, this is a place to check out! The name translates to "Bad Habits," which sums up the many faces of the place which is not only a bar but also an event venue and more. If you are an early outer, try to catch the sunset there, it's marvelous.

Prova

Porto is all about wine, and Prova is all about passing that experience down to you. The staff has all the knowledge to guide you through the vast collection of different tastes and history of the different wines. Playing in the background, guests will enjoy a subtle jazz tune to go along with the atmosphere of the great wine experience.
