A small (but big enough) and friendly space that is open 24/7. The staff is very friendly and involved in the community which is supported by a WhatsApp group to help communicate and organize events and nights out. This was the place we ended up using the most, mainly because it was just closer to us and had a great vibe.
It has a modern design, two floors, one of them is quiet. The place is located in a very central point so it’s comfortable to grab a lunch nearby or run for a quick dip in the sea. Regarding the community aspect, there are not that many events that we knew of but it is definitely one of the more popular spaces in Playa.
Part of the popular chain of the Selina hostels. The co-work plans are separate and offer a simple space with tables and chairs. The greatest advantage is the hostel eco-system and vibe, but at the same time it introduces more noise and the co-working features are not so advanced.
A nice place with a big yard if you want to enjoy some sun. The internet is good, the food is nice and they have some vegan options. The only drawback is that not all the tables have an electricity socket nearby so you need to arrive early, or simply get lucky to find a spot to charge up.
A small coffee shop with only vegan food and coffee, but all done with great quality. The internet is very good and you won’t get any looks or feeling that you need to leave from the staff. Note that at noon it’s quite crowded, so maybe it’s best to go there in the morning or the afternoon. The prices are okay, not expensive but also not local cheap.
Small Mediterranean restaurant with good hummus and other traditional Israeli-style dishes.
A Japanese restaurant that has a good sushi and Ramen soup.
Another Mediterranean style restaurant (we are often attracted to these), with a delicious signature dish named Kuba which is a must. The spicy fish was also very good and made with the traditional recipe.
A vibrant bar on the fifth avenue that has good live music almost every day (mainstream & rock). When a good band is playing, people will stand outside and watch even if there is not a single chair to sit on.
A small bar with good food and good live music on weekends, you better reserve a table if you plan to visit there because it’s almost always full.
A big bar right on the beach with many tables to sit on the sand. The food is lovely & live music (reggae & rock) can be found there some nights. The prices are okay, not too expensive, but at sunset, the bar becomes full so note you might have to wait for a table. You can even rent a surfboard!
