Overview
The tourism center of Morocco.
It is a bustling city, with rich local culture, endless markets, and fun activities.

The local people are extremely friendly. This is something we both concluded quite fast, and not just us obviously. The market vendors keep their positive attitude no matter if they sell or not, the restaurants and hotels staff are always talkative and super welcoming, and generally if you ask for guidance, you will get it with a smile. With all that said, some people will try to scam you, as it’s their business in a way, so don’t take it personally and be aware.

The Medina, old town, can look intimidating at first sight. It is narrow and crowded, with motorbikes barely passing by between the people, and merchants offering you their goods from all sides of the streets. So it might not be for everyone, but if you walk there a few times, it is easy to get used to.
Co-Works
Marrakech is not a Digital Nomad or Remote workers hub. Not yet at least. So although some co-work spaces do exist, it can be challenging if they become too crowded.
Also the cafe’s are mostly wouldn’t fit to spend a whole day as they are usually quite small and intimate.

Coworking L'BLASSA

We worked from here for around a week or so. It is very comfortable and the internet is blazing fast. Although some computer chairs could level up the conditions, it is still one of the best options if you need a steady base to work from.

Cowork in Marrakech

It is an affordable option which costs only 150 Dirhams per day and also provides unlimited coffee all day, our kind of deal! The internet is good of course and the staff is helpful.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Mandala Society

Our goto place for western style breakfast and chilled vibes. It is also possible to open a laptop if it's not too crowded, but note that many people come there so secure your spot early.

Starbucks

Like everywhere in the world, the local Starbucks can help if you are stuck with no place to work from.

Tagine – the cone looking clay pot that when done properly can hold the most flavor rich dishes you ever tasted.
Restaurants and Bars

Yazel

A small but eclectic restaurant with a short but high quality menu. The balcony is located perfectly to look at the street and watch what people are doing.

Nomad

Cool place with a view towards the sunset. We had their signature Couscous which was great. Unique place with unique style.

Cafe Árabe

Up class restaurant that also serves alcohol (it is quite rare actually). So if you are after a fancy night with good food and some drinks that would a great fit.

Les Jardins Du Lotus

This place looks like it was taken out of a movie. The design is full of vegetation, a central pool, high ceilings, vibrant live DJ music, and dozens of waiters running around between the tables. Also serves alcohol and they have very good cocktails as well.

Dar Baba Restaurant

We visited the branch of this restaurant only in Essaouira, but if it is anything similar, it's probably a great place also in Marrakech. The food was above any expectations, and the cocktails were spot on. Very recommended to try.
