Lisbon

The capital of DNs (one of them at least)

Overview
The capital of Portugal and the primary hub for everything. It’s population is around 550,000, and besides the quantity, the quality of this population is probably one of the most interesting aspects of the city. Lisbon residents are known for being very open-minded and warm to newcomers, and it’s not by mistake that many people seek to relocate to Lisbon just for that. And their open immigration policies don’t hurt!

As for us digital nomads, it’s one of the prime destinations, and for many reasons. The combination of all of the above (open people and immigration policies), together with affordable pricing compared to the EU, and vibrant community and nightlife make it easy to see why it attracts all kinds of long-term travelers and ex-pats.
Co-Works
As discussed above, coworkers are in abundance in Lisbon, and so are co-work places. Depending on where you live or what is your preferred style, we are sure anyone can find his or her cup of tea and enjoy what the city has to offer for the shared office seekers.

Impact Hub

Second Home

It's not an ordinary office with fluorescents and compact rooms. The picture already says it all. Filled with light, open space, and vegetation all around, Second Home is a unique and compelling space for those who are looking for diversity and creativity. People also report it's a place to find genuine connections with like-minded digital nomads.

Outsite

Located in the heart of Lisbon, Outside is a trendy coffee shop-style coworking space that feels less industrial and cozier than your typical workspace. You will have access to fast Wi-Fi, meeting rooms, a printer, free coffee, and a few healthy vegetarian options to choose from.

Impact Hub

Except for the spacy working areas and hangout spaces, the Impact Hub is known for hosting an entrepreneurial community that is very warm and collaborative. Through attending their ongoing events or just by having communal lunch together with like-minded people, meeting new people here should be an easy task.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Copenhagen Coffee Lab Lisboa

A chain of cafes and bakeries that are really loved around Lisbon. We tried the one in Estrella and cannot recommend it more. If you love freshly baked pastries, it's a great choice. Healthy options are also available if you are interested.

The Royal Rawness

Either set your laptop on the bar chairs or just outside in the street and watching the people walk by is a very refreshing experience compared to grinding hours in a white light office. The coffee and food are also premium and won't disappoint!

Casa Independente

For all of you art lovers and alternative fellas, this place is a must check, even just for a drink. Do yourself a favor, avoid spoilers, and don't look it up on google, just go see it. If you come early enough to grab a table it might be possible to get some work done as well.

DeBru Lisboa

One of those places where you can work during the day and party during the night. Freelancers and remote workers often visit here as the upper floor actually looks like a co-work space with many people sitting with laptops, some on ergonomic computer chairs (respect!). After work hours (or even during), you will have versatile drinks and craft beers to choose from and the opportunity to chat with everyone who spent their day just like you.

The number one Portuguese pastry. You won’t spend more than a day without coming across it. The egg custard dusted with cinnamon is the original recipe.
Restaurants and Bars

Park rooftop bar

A cool place to catch a sunset or just chill in the evening with friends at the rooftop bar and enjoy the marvelous view. It is recommended to reserve a table if you prefer to visit at a specific hour, as it can get very busy. It has a vintage ambiance which pairs well with their classic cocktails.

Cinco Lounge

Cinco is a low-lit lounge-style spot. Not too loud to bring a date or just chat with friends over some playful cocktails or any drink of your choice. A perfect place if you want to lean over for some elegance.

Cerveteca Lisboa

Beer lovers, we have you covered! You will need to visit several times to try all the distinctive and interesting beers on the menu. The atmosphere is also great, and if this is not enough they serve fantastic tapas to go along with the beer. Ask them for recommendations and they will gladly help you find the right beer for you.

Hot Clube de Portugal

One of Europe's oldest jazz venues, dating back to 1948! Many great names have played here, and the place has a mighty history. So if not for the fame and cultural value, it is definitely worth a visit for its modern jazz concerts and hangout opportunities.

Sky Bar at Tivoli Avenida Liberdade Lisboa

On top of one of the oldest and most respected hotels in the city, this trendy rooftop bar stands out no less. Reservation is recommended if you don't want to wait, and even if waiting, the view, food, drinks, and occasional live performances are probably worth it.
