El nido

So many activities, in such a small town

Big lagoon, El Nido

Overview
El Nido is a great hub for travelers, adventure seekers, and nature lovers.
It is small, but still offers many activities and fun places to hang out in.

For example you have the town center, where you feel more the backpacker vibe. There is Las Cabanas beach for a perfect sunset and a drink. and all in between are mostly resorts and local establishments along a beautiful beach.

If you rent a bike, which is reasonably priced, you can easily move around and do what you like at the moment.
Co-Works
Let’s face it. El Nido is not the most comfortable to work from remotely. There are no proper coworks, for the time of writing. If you really need to get work done, it’s better if you find yourself a room or apartment with a decent table and wifi connection.
There are few coffee shops and restaurants where you can work of course, but it’s not as facilitated as other DN destinations.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

El Nido Boutique Artcafe

One of the only laptop oriented cafe places in town. They have many many tables, a balcony to gaze over the street, decent connection, and overall a great central location.

Frendz Hostel - El Nido

It's a hostel rather than a restaurant, so we cannot write about it from first experience because it was full when we tried to book it. But it sounds like a place worth checking out if you look for nice atmosphere and a place to work from.

Lime Resort El Nido

A big and new hotel located in the south of El Nido. It's pretty noisy due to the amount of people that come and go, but because it's so big it's probably possible to find a nice place to open your laptop. A bit pricy though.

Suites by Eco Hotel

This is where we stayed for around 3 weeks. It's lovely and located on the beach. There are table spread that you can work from, and great wifi. We specifically asked to have tables in our room so we could work from there without interruption.

Halo Halo. When translated literally, it translates to “shake-shake”. Not very catchy but just the look at it! It’s a mix of many sweets that kids love – Ice Cream, Jello, cereals, coconut, mango, lichy, and whatever comes to your mind.
Restaurants and Bars

Scape Skydeck El Nido

A fancy and up scale sky bar and restaurant you wouldn't expect to find in a place as simple as El Nido. The view is awesome, and food was very good.

Kopi Bake

Went to this cute cafe by a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Lovely vegetarian dishes and roasted coffee which is as good as it can be. It's tiny so make sure you have a table or come early.

Happiness Beach Bar

A restaurant opened by few Israeli guys, serving typical Israeli food like we Israelis like it. We ate there countless times, try their hummus of course, and Burekas.

Bella vita el nido

One of our favourites in El Nido. Just a straightforward, fresh, and delicious Italian food. We loved the bruschettas for the amount of fresh tomatoes.

Maremegmeg Beach Bar

This one we would recommend going at least once during your visit. And not necessarily for the food, but the location. There are few more restaurants along this nice coast but somehow everyone is gathering in Maremegmeg for drinks and dinner, especially around sunset.

The Beach Shack El Nido

Just to the side of the Maremegmeg, just another good option in the Cabanas Beach. We loved the food here better.

No MAMES!

Mexican all the way. From the name itself (look it up?) you can understand the young and chicky vibe that they are trying to make. The tacos we tried weren't the very best we tried before, but the place has its charm anyway.
