Boracay

It's hard to fully enjoy other beaches after being there

Boracay, White Beach

Overview
It is the eternal vacation island. From dusk till dawn it feels like a true paradise. Perfect (but really perfect) beach, parties, sea food, water activities, a whole spectrum of hotels, and lots of local tourists coming to enjoy the island.

For us it was a month of staying put, in our very cute apartment, occasionally going to the beach, and relaxing as much as possible. Maybe before the pandemic the island enjoyed more foreign tourists of all sorts, but if we have to be honest, the amount of local and noisy families in every corner was a little putting off. Also the relatively high prices. But if you find your spot, and try to enjoy what the island has to offer, it’s hard not to like it.
Co-Works
We haven’t explored coworks in Boracay. We just worked from the apartment. But it doesn’t seem like this scene is developed at all. We surely didn’t saw one or heard about a cowork space that worth a visit.

Joe’s Boracay Restaurant Bar Lounge

This restaurant has a very cool design. Purple jellyfish all over the place immediately catches your eyes. What is nice is that there is a lot of space, so especially during the low hours it is very possible to come with a laptop and squeeze few hours of work. And the food is great too! In fact once sitting down you can order from two different menus of the adjacent restaurants. Both are quite good, we really enjoyed the Salmon Poke Bowl.

Boracay suits

It's an apartment hotel, not a cafe or restaurant, but we do recommend it here because this is where we stayed, and compared with other people we met it was apparently a good mid-term option, with very good internet and facilities.

You will see Mango as a desert in almost every restaurant on the island. It grows locally, and tastes amazing. Don’t miss the Mango ice cream shop in station 2.
Restaurants and Bars

Muchos

We were at the beach, it was hot, we were hungry, we saw a Tacos restaurant, we bought cauliflower tacos....both of us went - 'wow it's good!'. What a nice unplanned surprise.

Epic Boracay

An upclass and famous restaurant here in the Island, that turns into a party at night. The menu itself looks gorgeous and it was very hard to choose a dish out of all this goodness. It is a bit pricey, but a good experience.

Cha Cha's Beach Cafe

Their specialty is the crazy and tasty smoothies and juices that they also brilliantly present on the menu. Overall it's hard to have a bad experience when you are drinking and eating just in front of the water line.

Nigi Nigi Nu Noos

A very fun place that locals also really adore, as it seems. The vibe is more simple, local cuisine, live rock music from time to time, and a lot of beers of course.
