Overview
Bansko, situated at the base of the Pirin Mountains in southwest Bulgaria, is famous as the country’s top ski and mountain resort. It has well-maintained ski runs suitable for all skill levels and modern lifts, making it perfect for winter sports. During summer, the area turns into a hiker’s paradise with many trails in the beautiful Pirin National Park. The town itself is full of history, with cobbled streets, traditional Bulgarian houses, and the 19th-century Holy Trinity Church. Bansko also offers a rich cultural experience with its local taverns known as “mehanas,” serving traditional Bulgarian food and featuring live folk music. In the summer, it attracts many digital nomads.
Co-Works
Bansko has developed significantly in terms of coworking spaces. Five years ago, there were none, but today there are already more than five. It’s quite impressive considering it’s a small town.

Altspace Coworking

Coworking Bansko

The pioneering coworking space that started it all here. The coworking space with the most events and activities for its members. The place has several rooms, strong internet, and comfortable computer chairs. Sometimes it can be a bit busy for our taste, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Altspace Coworking

A coworking space on the opposite side of town offers a slightly more grown-up and peaceful ambiance. If you seek fewer distractions and more productivity, this is the perfect place. The company has three locations where you can work at any of your choosing. They provide good internet, comfortable computer chairs, and occasional social events.

Nomad Friendly Cafe's

Casa di Papi

It's more like an Italian restaurant than a cafe, but it's totally possible to spend a few hours working there. The internet is good, the place isn't too crowded, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

Shopska Salata: A traditional salad made with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peppers, and sirene cheese, typically topped with a sprinkle of parsley.
Restaurants and Bars

The House

Our opinion is that this is the best restaurant in the city. It specializes in meat, but not only that! The main dish they're known for is their delicious ribs. So, if you love meat, this dish is perfect for you. The prices are not the cheapest, but it's definitely a place worth visiting.

Veziova House

A family restaurant with a magical garden to enjoy dinner in. The place offers delicious local food at a very reasonable price.

Pirin 75

The "neighborhood" bar that everyone goes to. Even if we don't recommend it, you'll probably end up there for a drink. The prices are very reasonable, and the place has the most lively atmosphere in town.

Le Petit Nicolas

A small and incredibly charming café, an ideal spot for coffee and pastries. Their sandwiches are excellent and freshly made every morning.

CHALET YANITZA

A cozy restaurant owned by a friendly man who manages everything on his own. Many digital nomads visit this place for a meal. The restaurant offers local dishes at very affordable prices.

"Five M" Restaurant & Good Bar

The restaurant is a little pricier than the others in town, but the food is yummy and the service is good.

Ginger Bar & Dinner

The second liveliest restaurant bar in the city. The food is good, and the price is reasonable. It's a bit fancier than the neighborhood bar.
